o Common Reasons Carpet Warranties Become Void

        Most carpet warranty issues are preventable.  Below are the most common reasons manufacturers and installers deny warranty claims:

        * Carpet is not professionally cleaned every 12-24 months by ab IICRC-Certified Firm ( the most common reason)

        * Unsanitary conditions caused by bodily fluids, including pet accidents

        * Flooding or excessive moisture damage

        * Abusive or excessive soiling

        * Fire or smoke damage

        Poor or inconsistent maintenance and care

        * Construction or remodeling debris left on carpet without proper protection

        * Failure to use walk-off mats or entry rugs, allowing outside soil to be tracked into the home

         * Improper installation performed by another company (we cannot warranty workmanship we did not perform)

         * Changes in occupant, including relocation

         * Daycares or home -based business, which exceed normal residential use

         * Yarn sprouting or high turf yarn– this is not a manufacturing defect and may be trimmed with scissors if it appears a long seams

          or in traffic areas

        If You Need to File a Warranty Claim

        We make the process as simple as possible:

       * If the issue is manufacturing – related, we will submit the claim directly to the manufacturer on your behalf

       *If the issue is labor- related, we will repair, re-stretch, or re – seam the carpet at no additional cost, in accordance with our labor warranty

       Our Goal is to protect your investment,  eliminate surprises, and stand behind our work.

 Buying Carpet? Ask These Questions First

Questions Your Should Ask to Find a Competent Installer

  #1: Does your installer know what CRI 105 is?

Why it Matters:

CRI 105 is the industry installation standard for residential carpet.  Not all installers follow it – and improper installation can

void your warranty.

What to ask:

* Is the installation performed to CRI 105 standards?

*Are Manufacturer requirements followed for my specific carpet?

  A knowledgeable installer should clearly explain how CRI standards protect your carpet and warranty.

#2: Does your installer use duct tape on the noses of steps?

  Why it matter:

Stair noses take the most wear.  When properly applied, duct tape helps reduce friction between carpet and pad,

extending the life of both.

What to ask:

* Are stair noses properly prepped before installation?

* What steps are taken to reduce wear on high – traffic areas?

Skipping this step can shorten the life of you carpet on stairs.

 #3: Is your installer using a wall – to – wall power stretcher?

 Why it matters:

Industry standards require a power stretcher – not a knee kicker – for proper carpet installation.

 What to ask:

* Will a wall – to –  wall power stretcher be used?

* Is the installer equipped with professional – grade tools?

 Improper stretching leads to wrinkles, buckling, and premature wear.

#4: Is your installer using proper tack strip?

Why it matters:

Correct tack strip size and placement are critical for keeping carpet secure over time.

 What to ask:

* Is industry – -approved tack strip being used?

* Is tack strip installed correctly for my sub-floor type?

Cheap or incorrect materials can cause loosing and visible gaps.

  #5: Does your installer provide more than a one – year warranty on stretching?

Why it matters:

A properly trained installer stands behind their work.  Quality stretching should last years – not months.

What to ask:

* Is there a written workmanship warranty?

* What does it cover if wrinkles or buckling appear?

 Many  carpet warranties depend on correct installation.

#6: Does Your Installer Use Seam Sealer on All Seams?

Why it matters:

Using seam sealer is a manufacturer requirement for most carpets. Improper or skipped sea sealing can void

No Run / No Pull warranties.

What can go wrong if it’s skipped:

* Face yarns release more quickly

*Seam fray, separate, or show prematurely

* Carpet life is shortened

What to ask:

* Are all seams sealed during installation?

* Is the seam sealer manufacturer – approved?

A professional installer never skips this step.

Padding Matters Just as Much as Carpet

Just as style and color matter, proper padding is critical to extending the life and performance of your carpet.

We off industry – approved padding options including:

* 6 lb. and 8 lb. rebound pad (1/2″ thickness)

* Triple Touch pad, available in 8 lb. and 10 lb., which can double your texture retention warranty

Why padding Matters:

* Reduces wear and Crushing

* Improves comfort  and insulation

* Helps protect manufacturer warranties

The right pad protects your investment from the floor up.
